Description
Myrrh oil is extracted by steam distillation of the Commiphora myrrha tree’s bark. This tree usually flourishes in dry regions and it grows up to 3-4 feet height. These trees have several thorns and spines with its bark being light knotted and they have only few leaves and white flowers. The colour of the oil varies from dark red to amber to yellow and smells sweet and musky.

Uses
Myrrh oil helps deal with excessive mucus in lungs and treats ailments like coughs, sore throats, catarrh, dyspepsia, bronchitis. Besides that, it also treats disease like flatulence, diarrhoea, dyspepsia and haemorrhoids. It is also used as an energiser and revitalises our mind and body. This oil is also an important ingredient of oral hygiene products. Apart from that, it can also be used as anti-viral, anti-inflammatory and anti-infection agent.
